Reinhard Heydrich- On March 7, 1904, the “Blonde Beast” was born in Halle, Germany. Heydrich was in the German Navy, but was expelled. His fiance persuaded him to join the Nazi party, and in 1931, he became a member of the schutzstaffel (SS). Heydrich was remembered for his lack of human compassion, and was the leading planner behind Hitler’s final solution.

Heinrich Himmler- Himmler was born on October 7, 1900, in Munich, Germany. Heinrich became the chief of Nazi propaganda in 1926. In 1929, he was appointed commander of the Schutzstaffel, or SS. In 1933, he took command of the Gestapo, and expanded it. He became chief of all German police in 1936. In the year 1943, Himmler was expelled from the Nazi party. In 1933, Hoess joined the SS, and in 1934, he was assigned to Dachau. Later in 1940, Auschwitz was established and he was recognized as Kommandant in Auschwitz. Hoess introduced Zyklon-B to the gas chambers at Auschwitz in 1942 he emptied the canisters into the chamber himself. In 1947, Rudolf Hoess was hanged on a one-person gallows, in Auschwitz. Rudolf Hoess also erected the sign above the gates of Auschwitz that says “Arbeit Macht Frei”.

Josef Mengele- On March 16, 1900, Josef Mengele, “the Angel of Death” was born. Mengele studied philosophy, and medicine, and was known to be smart in his town. In the year 1937, Mengele joined the Nazi party, and the year after he joined the Schutzstaffel. Mengele was wounded fighting the USSR, and volunteered to work at Auschwitz..
