The flag is draped over the casket of a soldier who dedicated their life to the ones who will never truly understand what the definition of freedom is. These people wake up every morning put their uniform on fully understanding the risk they are taking and willing to sacrifice their life for a nation who was based on the ideal concept of freedom. Stars and stripes fly in the wind as the American colonies defeat the British Empire who has oppressed a culture who wanted to establish a culture of liberty. The forefathers would create a document that would set a standard for the United States creating a list of freedoms that would be granted to every citizen of this great nation, this article is the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution means something different to everyone to some it is a piece of paper, but to me it is a standard by which the country must be run giving us the freedoms that we believe every human deserves. I have known for a long time that I would like to join the U.S. Army and now recently I have realized that in doing so I am defending the American way of life set by the Constitution. This document is the reason our country stands out over anyone else, the people in this country are free to do as they please (to an extent) and the armed service risk their lives everyday to defend that right. As people begin to express their freedoms more than ever it sometimes seems distressful to those who defend their rights by inconsiderate actions they are taking. But I understand that my future entails defending those rights because one day when I have something to say I would like to enjoy the same freedoms that these individuals are expressing. I have a large amount of faith that the forefathers of the U.S. what they wanted for the future of the nation and that we must now and forever follow the standard set by the Constitution to keep this country great and free from

The newly formed National Government was acting under the Articles of Confederation, which established a “firm league of friendship” between the states, but did not give adequate power to run the country.
