Entrepreneurship is the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. In our grade 9/10 Entrepreneurship Class we created an escape room (an escape room is a physical adventure game in which players solve a series of puzzles. Players are given a set time limit to solve all the puzzles to escape the room.) But before we were ready to make money we had to Research, Design, and build the escape room. I was in charge of the Marketing side of the escape room, my job duties included: Making our presence known on Social media (Ex. Next came one of the most important step in creating an escape room the theme, it is not so easy to decide a theme for such a huge project we had many suggestions for themes for our escape room. I gave the idea of a prison escape which then turned into an Alcatraz themed escape. Now that we had a theme we were ready to take the next steps in making our escape room. In the early stages of the Escape room my contribution would score me an eighty-five out of one-hundred. We decided that we would have at least four staff members present for each session; one to play the role as the prisoner, another person be the door greeter to explain what goes on in our escape room and to take the payment, another to give clues if needed during the escape, and finally just an extra person to watch the cameras and make sure everyone runs smoothly, we were also accompanied by a teacher to supervise the students because we can’t be trusted. I did not have many shifts during this time because I had already done so much prior for the escape room, I only ever worked one night out of the three continuous weeks that the Escape Room was open for. I was just an extra that night anyway we already had five other students working that night Ethan and I were told we were not needed there that night after the first booking was finished so we just went home. My contribution to running the escape while it was open was not as effective compared to my assets to building and designing the escape room. With that mind I would say my score should a seventy-five out of one-hundred.
