As a newborn, babies are born with under developed brains in order for the baby to fit through the average human birth canal. Instantly they begin learning and retaining information they need to survive. After just a few minutes they learn to touch, smell, hear and cry. So why is it so much harder for adults to retain information like they did at such a young age? This is a question I have been asking myself for many years, and I believe that learning the different learning styles may help me and my classmates with our future. This is a type of learning that is very hands-on. I feel that a lot of people learn this way because it’s how you go through life. Trial and error. A lot of times when someone physically does something themselves, they tend to use multiple parts of their brain, this helps to strengthen the thought and make them really focus on what’s going on rather than just letting it go through one ear and out the other. My score in kinesthetic learning was a 12 on the Vark quiz and a 67% on the Edutopia quiz. I believe this is relatively accurate because I do learn better physically doing something rather than someone trying to each me. This is pretty much lecturing. Using your ears to learn instead of your eyes or hands. This is defiantly not for me, I scored a 3 on the Vark quiz and a 33% on the Edutopia quiz. With aural learning I tend to be the one falling asleep or trying to put the words into pictures to make sense of the lesson. Typically, after a lecture I will go home and watch a video on the topic so that I can see pictures and drawings of what’s going on. I don’t think aural learning is one of the favorite types of learning, but some people do learn best if they take a recording and listen to it over and over. A lot of ties if someone is an aural learner, they are also linguistic, so they will use words, ask questions and write
