Reflection Have you ever wanted to read someone else’s story? My personal story is a long journey and I am going to take you through it. It has been a wild ride at times but I have learned a lot from all of my experiences and I plan to share it with you! It all started on February 26 1999, in Woodstock Illinois. I am the youngest of three girls. My Mom’s name is Megan and she is Special Education teacher for grades fourth through eighth. My Dad’s name is John and he is a Chief Credit Officer in a bank. My oldest sisters name is Courtney and she is 23 years old. She is a first grade teacher. My second oldest sisters name is Caitlyn. She is 20 and has a four-month-old baby boy. They are always there for me when I need them. With my parents already having two girls, they had their parenting styles figured out. I feel that my parents parenting style is warm. They are always very supportive and caring for all of us girls. They are very protective of us and always want to know where we are. At times it can be very annoying, but I know it’s for the best and I can understand where they are coming from. (Rathus, 2010 p. 288). With my Mom being a Special Education teacher and a Special Olympics coach, I have learned to respect everyone and even though they may not act or think like I do, they still have feelings and are still a human being just like me. I think it is very intriguing to see how people think and act differently. I am thinking of going to Northern Illinois University. I think NIU would be a great college to major in nursling and minor in psychology. NIU has a great nursing and psychology program. Once I am done with college I want to start my own family and buy a house and I hope to have four kids. I would really like to live in a bigger city. As there is more opportunities for jobs and social activity’s, living in bigger city’s can also cause problems. I want my kids to have the opportunity to have a great education and living in a big city will mean more kids in a classroom and not as much one on one with teachers. Also the traffic will be hard to get from one place to another. If I end up having four kids it will also be very difficult to get them one place to the other with all the different activity’s they will do, in the heavy
