Rebecca Rolfe or better known as Pocahontas remains one of those figures in history whose story still remains an enigma; that which to this day is veiled in the mist of diverse and often antithetical opinions and accounts of various writers including that of (Capt. John Smith). Many believe that Rebecca Rolfe ( Pocahontas) married the man of her dreams , warded off the threat of a colonist invasion through negotiation with King James IV and painted her way into her happily ever after with the colors of the wind; we can thank Disney’s brutally morphed representation of Pocahontas’ life in the movie “POCAHONTAS” for that . In the meanwhile John Smith and his crew have just landed on the shores of “The New World”. After Pocahontas sees those strange clouds (Ship Sails) she gets curious and decides to head that way. Hidden in the bushes her eyes fall on Captain Smith and she suddenly gets mesmerized by this blue eyed, clean-shaved “civilized” blonde. She follows him throughout his whole tour and eventually Smith realizes he is being followed by a “Savage”, he hides behind the waterfall and waits for the savage to make a mistake, the savage makes a mistake and after losing trail of the stranger she stands confused next to the waterfall (out of nowhere it gets all foggy) andsomewhere in this confused scenario Smith’s eyes fall on the dusky skinned Indian beauty. Both fall for each other and try their best to bring the two civilizations together without further violence. The story takes a turn when Tom (Smith’s Friend) mistakenly kills kokoum.
