SYNOPSIS:
At approximately 0230 hours on February 16, 2016, a male subject was struck on the left side of his face by a pistol. Rashaun Grant, victim of the assault, was struck by the suspect, Rashaun Grant, after an argument occurred. Rashaun was transported to Hampton Regional Medical Center by his mother. The suspect fled the scene before Law Enforcement arrival.
INTERVIEW WITH COMPLAINANT: (RASHAUN GRANT)
Rashaun stated on the above listed date and time, he was at Mr. Lingard house when he got into a verbal altercation with Jackie Charlton. He stated the argument was over a shooting incident that took place on last week that was not reported to Law Enforcement. Mcnair stated her son came to her residence and stated Jackie had pull a gun out on him. She stated she left her residence and went to her cousin Terry Lingard residence. She stated she started asking several individuals about what took place when she observed Jackie put a gun in his pants. She also stated she observed her son injuries and took him to the Sheriff’s Office.

OFFICER’S ACTION/OBSERVATION:
On the above listed date and time, deputies arrived at Hampton County Medical Center, and made contact with the complainant regarding the above listed incident type. Deputies gathered the pertinent information needed to complete this report. The complainant and his mother wrote a voluntary statement. Photos were taken while at the Emergency Room. The complainant was issued a Victim’s Right’s Form along with a case number attached. Deputies attempted to make contact with the subject, no contact was made. Deputies cleared the call and resumed normal patrol duties.

Victim Herbert sustained approximate two inch scratches on her right elbow due to being pushed to the ground by Suspect Chuldzhyan.
I spoke to Mike Hoover who stated he was assault at 16124 South 401st Street by Hunter Jones. Mike stated he went to Leith Jones home to retrive a fishing pole that Hunter had. Mike started Leith and Hunter came to his home eariler this week to retrive some shorts that belonged to Hunter.
The new evidence added to the case is footage from both a dash and body cam, showing the events leading to Keith’s death. The new video evidence will be detrimental in the Keith Scott case because it shows how police attempted to resolve the intense situation. Nick Valencia provides evidence showing that Keith was instructed to drop his weapon several times, Keith’s wife had misinformed police numerous times, and Keith was actively taking prescription medication (Nick Valencia, CNN News). The situation is very interesting because the Scott family is claiming that Keith never had a firearm on him while the police were at the scene. On January 12 1998 in Georgia, Deputy Kyle Dinkheller made a traffic stop for speeding car driving at 98 mphs. Placed inside his car was a dashboard camera, the incident was all captured. Ronnie identified himself as the father of Logan Dickey (alleged victim) and indicated that Logan was last seen at the residence but does not know of Logan whereabouts at the moment. On July 26th, 2013, tragedy struck in Toronto, just before 12am. An 18-year old male named Sammy Yatim was shot and killed by a Toronto officer. My homicide case began when the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) received a call from a male caller via 911 reporting he found a body of a black male found in a park near a cul-de-sac in a residential area. I was dispatched and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, I began steps documenting the crime scene. I initiated a rough sketch of the scene and initiated my field notes. A cordon was initiated as I began identifying possible evidence and identifying witnesses and suspects. I canvassed the area and found four 9mm shell casings near the body.
