Recommended: Factors causing accidents in workplaces essays

You have been recently appointed as the first safety committee chairman for your company. Each year, work related accident occur at your work place and as a new chairman, you are very concern about this issues.

A) Explain why accident occur at workplace and support your answer with any theories of

accidents.

Nowadays, many accident have been detected in world and it look like increasing every month and year especially in festival season, for information accidents in general means unplanned and unexpected situation which occurs suddenly and causes injury and loss, a decrease in value of the resources, or an increase in liabilities. As a technical ‘accident’ does not have a clear defined legal meaning. In insurance definition, an accident is a something that not deliberately caused, and which is not inevitable. For example, if a driver (protected under the personal auto insurance for injury or loss because of carelessness) intentionally pushed the vehicle to the road divider, resulting injury or damage is not covered. Similarly, the insurance policy does not provide compensation for obsolescence or wear and tear due to their occurrence cannot be avoided in the normal course of things. See also event.

A fatal accident at work is defined as an accident which leads to the death of a victim within one year of the accident. In practice the notification of an accident as fatal ranges from national registration procedures where the accident is registered as fatal when the victim dies during the same day (Netherlands) or within 30 days after the accident (Germany) to cases where no time limits are laid down (Belgium, Greece, France).

...nd the bonus would be in form of vacation. The vacation will be in Malaysian only for 3 days 2 nights. Worker will take a rest for a few day and relax with the family after struggling to do the work and safety at work.

Another way to promote OSHA is, quiz for safety while at work. It is one of the creative ways to attract all workers get involved in this activity. This activity will be made on Friday in every week. Provide employees with a safety procedures manual that addresses each department’s operations so that they can study it. Those who handle this event will ask the different question in every week. An example, week first the mc will ask about example of accidents can occur in their organization and next week the question will be how to prevent it. This case can help and increase the employee’s knowledge about OSHA and the organization of the company.
