Introduction When often requested to describe the essence of America many things come to mind- its creativity and energy; the different freedoms that the Americans enjoy; the rich ethnic and racial mix its citizens. The term is a common goal for many of the people residing in the American nation. My interpretation of the term is to have the power to control my destiny, live free and becoming successful. Pursuing the “American Dream” is not as easy as it used to be. Currently, it just means to live comfortably, while initially during the early 1990s the American Dream meant to be extremely wealthy. In those days, the “dream” of wealth was easily attainable considering the average person earned better than what an average worker gets currently.
