This year alone I have had to learn a lot about health finance, I recently got married and with my husband in the Air Force, I had to learn a lot about Tricare, most of which my mom could not help me with. I searched many of my questions or called the company in my district, which to me knew nothing and couldn’t answer my questions, so learning this material in class gave me a glimpse of the future and the many problems I know I will have. The first thing that I was new to me was Medicare, I found it is confusing and has many parts to it which can be both costly, disproportionate, and I feel like less and less doctors take on new patients on it, because of the large gap in pay to the company, and. I know I wont have to worry about Medicare for a while, and a lot will change by than, but my mom is at the age where she is able to be on it, so being able to give her information that I have read about is very beneficial. My mom worked for a hospital and therefore we had decent health insurance, but learning how many people are with out health insurance and adequate access to good hospitals and treatment shocked me. A shortage in doctors and nurses, also do not help, that means longer waits to be able to see a doctor which can affect you health if it’s a serious problem. I learned that is has no easy solution to solving this problem, there are so many factors that play into this problem, but if we find the problems and try and fix them in the future we could have better access to doctors and
