Was the Roman republic fair? Were all citizens treated equally in the Ancient Rome? Was the Roman republic good at all or they had problems? The answer is yes, they had problems in some aspects. Also, they were treated different because of their wealth, gender, citizenship, and job.
A republic is a form of government where the people elected by a popular vote someone to represents in law making. The Romans used to had a republic government that fall. On one hand, this republic fall because the elected official were corrupt because under Roman law you could pay someone to vote for you. These were collectively known as the “Augustan Reforms”, and consisted of largely a variety of revisions to the social, religious, political, legal and administrative aspects of the republic’s infrastructure. Through Augustus, who revelled in the old traditional ways of the past, the immoral, unrestraint society that Rome was gradually falling to being was converted to a society where infidelities and corruption was harshly looked upon and judged.
