While researching which career in journalism, Nelly Torres will study at Post University in December 2016. She will work as a sports journalist in this industry and write stories about sports.
Nelly Torres will be my interviewee this afternoon. She is a sports journalist who has lots of stories about athletes, and live games and has been in this industry without her bachelors degree. But this year she got accepted to Post University and will begin her journey on December 2016. The past 10 years she has been researching which career in journalism is the best fit for her, as well as finding which university will help advance at becoming an experience and well educated sports journalist. “I have been writing stories of my own about athletes, coaches, and most likely every kind of sport that is out there. I have been interested in writing when I was five years old. But when I was five years old I wrote about other things besides sports, I wrote about animals, cars, and about the presidents of different countries. But as I got older I got into sports a lot and got interested into all these sports and I love how sports are very intense and has us sports journalists very intimidating about these games. Writing these stories makes me very happy and thankful.” Nelly explained. “Who inspired you to become a sports journalist? Explain why.” asked the interviewer. “My father was very athletic throughout his whole life and when he would play sports, I would go to his games and watch him and would write stories about his team and what is happening in the game. I would show him and he would be proud of what I wrote about and that got me to motivate myself because of him.” Nelly said while looking down. “How do you feel about going to study being a sports journalist at post university and why do you feel that way?” asked the interviewer. “I feel intimidating about it but at the same time very excited because this is a big opportunity for me and …show more content…

“Do you recommend to become a sports journalist? Why or why not?” asked the interviewer. “Absolutely! It is a long process to become a sports journalist but it pays off at the end. It is a very intimidating but a very great job to do.” she said with excitement. “What are the specific requirement in order to become a sports journalist?” asked the interviewer. “First, you need to love it in order to become a sports journalist and become very successful at it, because you do something you do not like to do, you will not do a very good job at it. Next, you would have to study a lot and watch a lot of sports, and learn how other sports journalists are doing their job. Then, you would practice and practice your writing and keep practicing till you succeed.” She said while with a trilled expression. “How do you organize and gather information when you are about to write a story about sports and games?” asked the interviewer with a curious expression. “I have one notebook that has a list of where it took place, what time, and the athletes, coaches, fans, and etc. I have another notebook that contains the notes I have written about the game I went or the facts that happen at the game. I summarized the most important parts first. Then I begin to write my story
