Athletes, Overpaid?!
One controversy that usually ignites disputes amongst people is, Professional athletes and their ridiculously enormous paychecks . Some people argue that athletes in every professional sport are paid too much and others argue that they deserve it. I agree, athletes are overpaid, way too much. What people fail to understand is that athletes get paid millions and millions of dollars. That’s more than doctors, teacher and lawyers. What have athlete's done that helps society in anyway such as teaching? The answer is none. We are so blinded by the entertainment that we don’t even seem to questions the inequality between common professions and sports. Why do sports team pay their athletes that much? because they can. They have the money. Should there be regulations to athletes salaries? yes, The ubiquitous amount of dollars that athletes are paid is way too much, and we need to do something about it soon. …show more content…

I know i would but is it right? Doctors are out here saving lives, teachers are out here teaching our kids and setting them up for the future. Why is it that they aren’t making the millions? If both parties meaning athletes and others in the job profession were getting paid the same amount then there wouldn’t be a problem but that's not the case. Today we live in an era where someone who knows how to kick a ball is worth more than someone who saves lives. This is a major setback for us as a society. Doctors go through all that schooling, hard work and more, and also long hours of studying for what? To give back to our society. Yes we appreciate all the entertainment we get but all I'm saying is that athletes should be paid more reasonable. Its ridiculous how much money athletes

They should appreciate their chance to do what they love and value the education they are receiving, because that education is far more valuable than a potential sports salary. Even though colleges and college athletes have a few good points on why they believe they should get paid, over all the issue is larger than that, college athletes already make their share of “money” through free education and much more.

Many executives from the NCAA and the universities also get millions of dollars from big sporting events, and they do nothing to earn it.
