A Modest Modern Proposal or Freeze them eggs Teenagers having sex is inevitable in today’s society and has been throughout many years. Over the years, schools, little by little, have been requiring sex education classes to young teenagers. The sex classes educate kids and young adults about a broad variety of topics related to sex and sexuality, exploring values and beliefs about those topics and gaining the skills that are needed to navigate relationships and manage one's own sexual health (Planned Parenthood). Although are these classes truly informing kids? Teen pregnancy has become a serious issue in our society. In our process, young females will have their eggs extracted, frozen and stored when they start their menstrual cycle. After having the procedure done they will not be able to apply for unfreezing until the age of 18. In the application process the woman will have to prove that she is married, her or her spouse are wealthy enough to take care of a family, and have a stable and safe environment for a child. The whole jist is to prove that they could handle five hundred kids if that is what they wanted (exaggeration). The process is almost comparable to the adoption process. Once these qualifications are met you can have your eggs unfrozen and begin reproducing. What if the family wants multiple kids? If the family seeks to have another child they will then again apply to the government with another application. What if twins/triplets pop out? While going through the application process, the potential parents must provide a history of both family backgrounds. This will show the likelihood of having either twins or triplets. If there is a chance, than the family must provide documentation that proves they can support two or three children. Having background history also allows the government, as well as the family, to be aware of any disabilities the child may have. If by chance, the child shows signs of disability, than the potential parents must again show great financial stability to cover all the child’s costs for doctor visits, surgeries and other expenses.
