Proposal For Illegal Immigration

The word immigrants or immigration has alway been one of America 's concern. Some people want immigrants to be in the United States, while others do not want immigrants coming into the country. Many laws and plans had been put into place to permit and denied immigration into the country. This passed in the senate, but did not pass in the house. It proposed the following for undocumented (illegal) immigrants: 1. after 10 years they could apply for “legal permanent residence” 2. They would have to pay back taxes and 2,00 fine 3. They would have to know English in order to pass English test 4. Pass background checks 5. They would have to have lived and worked in this country continuously. I think they are making this proposal very tedious because they want these illegal immigrants to work hard to earn a spot. I understand why America would pass such a bill because of the attack in Paris. The attacker got into the country when Refugees were coming into Paris. That point is understandable. On the other hand, people in Syria and Iraq may died because this bill was passed. The people from Syria and Iraq want to stay temporarily until the horrible crimes in their country resolves. This is not a good look on America because we are known for helping many people in this world and for us to just stop helping others is cruel. We have the best border control in the world, so not letting these people in is absurd. If we are so afraid we should get more soldiers to help protect the borders. It is very sickening to know that America out of all country is deciding to sit out on this
