Trying to become employed or maintain employment is extremely hard to do while receiving welfare assistant due to lack of resources. Some people simply stay on welfare because it’s how they can afford their bills. People that receive assistants do not receive much to start with, so in order to obtain employment the job would need to pay a decent salary to cover the needs of that individual, which jobs are only part time now a days which is far from enough to survive off. Like the text book stated “one full time job is not enough for a two person house hold”. Child care is also a huge problem for parents while trying to attend school and working. Did you know one out of every eight babies are born prematurely every year in the United States each year, Neonatal nurse practitioners work with infants who are premature or have a health issue up to 28 days after birth. My interest in pursuing the career of a neonatal nurse practitioner is so I can help babies survive and help their families understand what actually is going on. Neonatal nurses are strong willed people, and I am a strong person, who has a very great interest in neonatal nursing. I am good at controlling my emotions in emotional situations and neonatal nurse will experience many emotional situations. The purpose of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is to inform the audience about the career by discussing: the history of a neonatal nurse practitioner, education and requirements to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, responsibilities & daily routine, pay, benefits of a neonatal nurse practitioner, and why it interest me. “Nursing is a kind of mania; a fever in the blood; an incurable disease which, once contracted, cannot be got out of the system. There are many different career fields you can go into as a social worker: from mental health, drug and alcohol abuse all the way to child welfare. Child welfare is my primary target when I become a social worker. I feel that I will have the biggest impact if I help the kids out that will be creating our future world. If I can help the kids of the next generation then maybe my influence will help more than just those few kids I see every day. Plus ever since I can remember people told me I need to be doing a job that helps children. I want to be able to make a difference in the community, and if I can help the kids, then I know I’ll be helping the community. I have always been interested in working with children. Becoming a teacher has always been a potential career path for me; however, I recently discovered the position of a child life specialist which has further broadened my interest for a future career. Although they are not educators in school, they are extremely important since they are the educators for children and their families to help overcome difficult and/or challenging life events. As a child life specialist I will be teaching children and families in hospitals how to cope with their diagnoses, how a surgery day will go, how certain lifestyles will have to change, and much more.
I was one of those children who wanted to be a veterinarian when I was young, but I decided after taking an Early Childhood Education class that I wanted to be a teacher. I have then signed up for the teacher cadet program at my school. To reach my goals, I realize that I must pursue at least a four year college education beginning in the Fall 2016 semester. I am very excited about my future and feel that with the opportunity your scholarship will provide, I can help teach a younger generation.

Although I had a variety of options to choose from as my career, I was very passionate to take the path of an Early Childhood Educator. This was to not only inspire the young children that are going to be looking up to me, but to be an educator that will help guide the children to become the best they can be in the present and future. I believe with all the support I can provide my future students, they can achieve the basic knowledge required to move on towards attaining higher academic accomplishments.
Children get injured or sick every day, and it doesn’t matter whether the child goes to a doctor or a pediatrician they are still tended to by a pediatric nurse. A pediatric nurse has to have many qualities. They also have to take many different classes. A pediatric nurse’s pay can vary from location to location depending on where they are working. Pediatric nurses must endure many different things to make it into this particular work field, and have many different qualities.
Growing up in a society where there are so many opportunities, I had no problem figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. I have always enjoyed helping others in any way that I was able too. From babysitting, raking leaves, serving as a volunteer for a number of organizations, no matter how big or small the need, I have always found it gratifying to help others. I ultimately recognized that I had to pursue a career in something that would allow me to help others, while positively giving back to the community. The heavy influence of wanting to help others comes from my very own personal life experiences, which have greatly impacted my career choices. Many people in this world want to make a difference in life. However, most people do not want to put in all the effort that it takes to do so. The job of a pediatrician is life-changing to many. Unfortunately, it takes drive and effort that many people do not have, to become a pediatrician. A pediatrician’s job is a highly-skilled and interesting job because he or she has the privilege to deal with and help as many children as possible.
Then to work at someone else's daycare I would need a secondary education in early childhood development. I would need CPR certified . Childcare workers must have good writing and be able to speak clearly. They are also needing to be able to explain things in term for young children to understand. They are also needing to able to stay calm when helping the children when they learn or being taught something. They might also want to record the progress of the child’s development of what they have done while being at the daycare.
I've cared for people and am a good observer when it comes to looking out for problems and conflicts. That's why I feel as though I'd be good in this field to help out children who need it the most, because I'm the type of person who can detect when something's wrong and I put my whole heart into something that is important to myself and the child in need. I've weighed the pro’s (helping out children, getting them in a safer environment, and doing what's best for the parent) and the cons (not being able to help everyone, and being put in dangerous situations) of this field and determined that the pros outweigh the cons that kids in need are so important I'm willing to put whatever on the line to help out whenever and wherever. This job takes a lot. You have to put all into it, and that's the type of person I am. I put my all into the things I do and am willing to sit down all night if need be to come up with a situation to help those who need
I was never one of those who as a young girl wanted to become a nurse, I knew I always wanted to work in health care administration. I will say my journey to become a nurse started after facing some challenging health and personal experience. I lost my father suddenly to heart disease at age 15. My father was my bedrock who at that time always wanted me to become a nurse, but as a teenager I wanted to do my own thing. Not until I experienced a series of hospitalization. One that stood out for me was when I was in the hospital for two weeks getting exchange transfusions, and I almost died. The nurses were incredible. They were angels at my bedside. They encouraged me, worked me through my treatment plan, and explained every detail to me. The nurses were the parents I did not have at my bedside for 24 hours. After discharge, I started to think about a career in nursing. Not too long after this occurrence, I started taking my prerequisites while I volunteered at Bellevue Hospital. After a long journey, I finally became a registered nurse.
"Do not become a social worker. You will not make any money and you will be stressed out all the time." My maternal grandparents were foster care parents from the 1980 's until April of this year. In that time they hosted over 250 children from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. As a child, I spent much of my time at my grandparents house and was exposed to the multiple aspects of the foster care system. I became close with the social workers who came to my grandmother 's house and when it came time for me to make a career choice, they all discouraged me from becoming a social worker. Despite their warnings I graduated with my Bachelor 's of Social Work from Saint Louis University in 2013 and began to work on my Master 's in Social Work in August of 2014.
