“The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)1 is unique in providing an elaborate system of procedural due process safeguards to ensure that students with disabilities are properly identified, evaluated, and placed according to its dictates” (Osbourne & Russo, 2014, p. 117). We have procedural safeguards when working in special education ARD meetings.
