Introduction

Education is one of the important tool to make a person more wise, knowledge and responsible towards society. People are transferred this education to other people, through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, or research. For many years in the teaching process we have been using so many method of teaching. Lecture method of teaching is the oldest teaching method applied in educational institution. Power point presentation is one of most powerful teaching method. Power Point presentation has many advantages over traditional "chalk-and-talk" lecture. However, PowerPoint is not almighty. You will need to have a computer and projection equipment in place to display the slides to the audience. The main failure in projector is rare but possible. This damage caused by magnetic or physical damage so that the presentation will not run. Incompatible media means the incompatible the system available.
Too much and irrelevant information
By using too many animations, graphics, background images and other dynamic visuals could distract the student from the actual message and other information being conveyed to them. A study also found that students spent more time viewing task-relevant information and less time viewing task-irrelevant information after instruction. Irrelevant pictures may even be harmful to comprehension of students.
Neglect of interaction with students
PowerPoint makes the instructor more confident, usually the instructor's eyes will stay more on the screen than on the face of students. The lecture may thus lack eyes-contacts between teacher and students. This may zoom out the distance between them. A lecture without eye-contact, is similar to a "virtual lecture" in some aspects.

The main motivation is to understand advantages and disadvantages of this power point presentation to improve teaching quality by using appropriately power point presentation.

We may find similar results were reported in a study by Allan (2003) who said that ‘PowerPoint is an excellent aid to presentations providing each presentation is considered first from a pedagogical viewpoint, bearing in mind the different ways in which students learn and largely trying to avoid the pitfalls of passive knowledge transmission. Hence, the use of PowerPoint at university level is a convenient way to make students understand the course easier and get main points from the lectures. This outcome further enhances the motivation of the use of PowerPoint at university level.
