Poultry industry is a large an important part of the food sector. Poultry industry include the production of eggs, chicken turkey meats. Poultry is one of the most important source of protein for mankind. Production of chicken meat had been increasing due to the proposed nutritional value of chicken as compare to other type of meats. Poultry meat are considerably cheaper compare to other type meat as well. The increased in poultry consumption can be accredited to the big poultry company for their innovation in supplying different type of poultry products. For example chicken nuggets, chicken sausages and etc. The raise of popular fast food restaurant that serve chicken such as KFC also contributed to the ever increasing demand for poultry meat. But in some parts of the world they are consider as delicacy. The head, feet and viscera contain variable protein and lipid concentration. The viscera contain higher lipid content while the head and feet are rich in protein (Lasekan A, Dzulkifly Hashim et al, 2012).
2.5 Other byproducts of poultry industry
Other byproducts of poultry industry are the hatchery. This include egg shells, unhatched eggs, infertile eggs, and discarded chicken, which are utilized in animal feed. The animal feed contain high concentration calcium. It can be purifies and the calcium can be used as value added mineral for other food products. Since it contain such high concentration of calcium, its usage as animal feed is limited to prevent poisoning (K. Jayathilakan, Khudsia. S et al., 2012).
2.6 Litter and manure
Other than usual byproducts of poultry during the processing phase, there is also a huge amounts of waste generated from production phase. The waste generated are litter and manure. They contain variable nutrients which can be recycle as animal feed or as fertilizer for agricultural
