Through the multiplier effect, once a tourist arrives they need accommodation and stay in a hotel. That direct revenue goes towards the hotel paying to outsource its laundry and paying a local farmer for products. The indirect effects are the farmer being able to buy more seeds or pay employees and the employees can buy food from the grocery store.
