Throughout history of religion, there have been men who have left a remarkable work to the world. Pope Pius XII who accepted the calling of God to be his disciple; he has written a precious work to the community. He is the big genius that the Church has had in history; His intelligence naturally penetrates all areas. In this work will try to investigate why is so important the common priesthood, and which was the motivation that Pope Pius XII has written about it.
First of all, we see Pius XII recognizes the existence of a baptismal priesthood, which cannot be denied, doubted, or underestimated. He quotes words of Scripture that seem decisive to him. But it does not specify the essence and properties of the common priesthood, though it emphasizes its essential difference with the hierarchical priesthood. In other words, Christians are those who have received the sacrament of baptism, participating in the people of God and exercising the functions of Christ of being priests, prophets, and kings. They realize their mission within to the people of God according with their condition on the world, and impregnate the Christian doctrine and its requirements in the fields social, political, and economic. On the other hand, when the laity received the baptism and confirmation, they have the obligation to help to the functions given in the baptism. Through of different groups they can help to spread the massage of salvation to those who have not heard to speak of Christ.
