Pop art began in the 1950s. Pop art start getting popular in the 1960s in the United Kingdom. It became a true art movement in New York. It all began in New York with a few popular artist by the names of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein. The major thing that started the whole pop art was the Campbell’s soup. The Campbell’s soup was big hit starting in 1962. Warhol got more into the artwork when his mother said that he would be a good artist. He got more into when his mother told him should go off to collge. One artist that stood out in the pop art world was Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol was a highly successful magazine illustration. The shoes caught my eyes because of the colors. How this piece art got my attention because of the colors. I just love things with bright colors to me. I just liked how he mix and match with different colors and made it all come together. But I also do like converses shoes and that's exactly what these shoes reminded me of when looking at them. I don't have to many memories when it come to converse shoes, but I do have some that comes in mind when I think about a pink pair that I have just like the ones in picture but is the lower top. I would have to say in this artwork are pink ones in the right lower corner, but I also like the ones in top left hand corner. I believe this artwork mean that the shoes was just coming out in that time when he decided to draw this and make them into different colors. I believe he made this artwork so he could probably get them to invest in some more different colors when it came to Converse shoes. One thing I didn't like is how he did the high top ones. But I believe that's all they had back in that time was high top. I'm just glad that they came out with low tops. I believe most of all these colors that he had when he drew this are out in today's time.I know back then they didn't have so many different colors to choice from. But I do love these kind of shoes, they're very good to wear and everything. Andy Warhol had some good artwork when it came down to his artwork. I could tell he was into making them about more bright colors when he redo some of the different pictures that he did. But the shoes he took to a different level when he did all the difffernt colors, and some of the colors was just odd colors that I have never seen before. Also he made the vottom of the shoe very thick that was different when it came down to the shoes. Most sneakers didn’t have the thick bottom back in that time.
