As the world spins around, things down on Earth get more gruesome with each second that passes. Whether it is terrorism, robberies or just everyday crimes. Something is happening now, this very second that is rarely mentioned. No one has really paid attention to the bruises, tears or reports. Police brutality is another thing that is either helping or hurting this nation. Police brutality has begun to be a major problem in today’s society.

Most of America does not even know the definition of police brutality. Police brutality is when the police officer uses excessive force that is not needed upon civilians. The use of excessive force is when the officer uses a force that is passed what her/or him needed in order to handle that certain situation. Police brutality can occur in many different scenarios. The most recurring form of police brutality is physical form. Police officers can use multiple of things like; tear gas, batons, mace, and weapons. They use their weapons to potentially or intentionally hurt civilians. Police brutality can also come in forms of false imprisonment, verbal ill-use ,mental intimidation, sexual misuse, police defilement, and racial profiling (Danilina).

Until recently, people have not really noticed police brutality. The history, however, can tell for itself. It has a tremendous story that needs to be heard. Police brutality ranges from America to Africa. This happens all over the world (“Police Brutality”)! From 1877 to present day, the forms of police brutality has been on the rise.

It could be terrorist, thieves or officers that use brutality. Some things are rarely mentioned anymore, but things are changing. No one will pay close attention until it happens to them.
