Plagiarism is a serious offence, which is the using or reproducing of someone else’s original concepts. Plagiarism often disguises the seriousness of the penalties. As a rule, it is important to give credit where needed and to comply with the principle of academic integrity. As a result, any compliance violation of this principle entails a violation of the academic integrity principles. The penalties established by Franklin University can vary and they are determined by the administrator. It can be anything from a zero on the assignment or a failing grade for the class. As a consequence, the student may be required to complete a Student Learning workshop in relation to proper citations. In addition, a student may be denied the right to graduate with academic honors, or they may be released from the university.
In my opinion, plagiarism is unethical. Using someone else’s writing is the same as stealing. Academic dishonesty affects a student’s grades and grades are extremely important to succeed. The situation would be an embarrassment for both the student and the student’s family. Therefore, I do not anticipate going through any of the above situations.
