The film,‘Pirates of the Caribbean: A Dead Man’s Chest’, was produced in 2006 in sequel to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’. The sequel picks up where ‘The Curse of the Black Pearl’ leaves off. In the first movie, the Black Pearl’s crewman are under a curse where anyone who took a piece of the treasure was condemned to immortality as a living skeleton, which was revealed any time the moonlight hit their skin. The only way to reverse the curse is to return all of the gold to where it came from, as well as the blood of all of the pirates who helped take it. At the end of the movie, Captain Jack Sparrow is sailing away in the Black Pearl while looking at his magical compass and singing the song, “A Pirate’s life for me”. His compass is magic because it points to what whoever is holding it at the time wants the most. The second movie, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: A Dead Man’s Chest’, begins with Will Turner (son of Bootstrap Bill) and Elizabeth Swann’s (daughter of the governor of Port Royal, Jamaica) wedding. Lord Cutler Beckett, one of Captain Jack Sparrow’s sworn enemies and leader of the East India Trading company, impedes the wedding and presents warrants of arrest for the couple for helping Captain Jack Sparrow escape a hanging the year prior. Elizabeth is held prisoner while Will is sent to retrieve Captain Jack Sparrow’s magic compass in exchange for his and Elizabeth’s freedom by way of Letters of Marque. Governor Swann attempts to escape with Elizabeth but is captured by Beckett’s assistant. Becket allows Elizabeth to go find will and gives her the Letters of Marque. Captain Jack Sparrow finds a drawing of a special key on a barbaric island and is seized by a tribe that inhabits the land. He is now required to either join Jones’ crew or get sent to Davey Jones’ locker . Davey Jones’ locker is a hell where Jones’ punishes anyone who betrays him. It forces captives to take on their own private demons. The only way to enter the locker is to die at sea. Davey Jones sends people there via the Kraken (Davey Jones’ massive pet sea monster) which he instructs to rise from the depths of the ocean and drag ships and crews underwater to die .Captain Jack Sparrow is stricken with fear and leads the crew to land where they will be safe from the Kraken. He and his crew then go to talk to the voodoo sorceress, Tia Dalma. She tells Sparrow and the crew that the key belongs to the Dead Man’s Chest, where Davey Jones placed his own broken heart after his lover deceived him. Tia Dalma instructs the crew where to find the key and points them in direction to Davey Jones’ ship, The Flying Dutchman. She also gives Jack a big jar of dirt that is supposed to protect him from the Kraken while they travel overseas. The crew sets sail to find The Flying Dutchman. The Dread Pirate Roberts believed in Westley by his use of pleasure, and his deep belief in true love. Westley, through his friendship with this Dread Pirate, Roberts then took his place as the pirate to gain his fortune to return to Buttercup. Another example of this ethos would be when Westley is trying to climb the cliff after the rope has been cut. Westley is Jones 1 having a difficult time with it and the Spaniard Inigo is impatient, wants Westley to climb faster so they can begin the duel. Inigo offers a rope to speed the climb, but is not trusted to do so by Westley.
The imaginative Nightmare Before Christmas is considered one of the most imaginative films in some of the most recent decades. This film masterpiece from the creative and revolutionary mind of Tim Burton has been one of my favorite movies from the time that I first saw it when I was a small child, to now. The beautiful textures and colors perfect capture both holidays of Halloween and Christmas in the film. Along with the textures comes a masterfully soundtrack that so perfectly adds mood and depth to this story. The even the beautiful textures are enough for this film to land itself in someone’s favorite list.
	The Count of Monte Cristo, written by Alexandre Dumas, tells the story of a man, Edmond Dantes, a sailor who goes through being betrayed by his enemies and thrown in to a dark prison cell to planning revenge on his enemies. His behavior and personality changes after spending 14 years in jail for a crime that he didn’t commit. Edmond Dantes was thrown in jail ,after being framed by his enemies, accused of committing treason and being a bonapartist. The story takes place during the Napoleonic Era while the usurper, Napoleon has escaped to his place of exile, the Isle of Elba, located in the Mediterranean Sea.
Alexandre Dumas is the author of the adventurous love story The Count of Monte Cristo, used both internal and external conflicts along with imagery. These literary elements enhanced the theme that revenge can drive a man to do the unthinkable. Dumas used these elements to tell the story of France’s history. His bestselling novels are not deep but have spectacular adventure, action, and larger-than-life-characters.

The Fountainhead is a novel about the ideals of four characters: Howard Roark, Peter Keating, Ellsworth Toohey, and Gail Wynand, all brought together to play different roles in the architecture industry. Ayn Rand introduces confusing concepts in her novel The Fountainhead; her characters do not fit the status quo and therefore they do things that the reader does not understand. They are caught up in the world of architecture and deciding between acts of selfishness and selflessness. Howard Roark had an unusual definition of selfishness opposed to the reader; he believed selfishness is was staying true to ones ideals and goals no matter what people might say. As for Peter Keating his definition of selfishness is doing everything for oneself and not worrying about who they are hurting or using.

The craziness of Ahab's mission of revenge can be compared to the same type of craziness in the Devil seeking out the death of the Son of God. The metaphor is also strengthened with the final battle of the Pequod and Moby Dick, which last for three days from the moment the “White Whale” is first harpooned. These facts repeat the crucifixion of Christ, where Christ died and went to hell for three days in order to defeat Satan before rising into heaven in glory. Because of this accomplishment, the few who are faithful to the Lord are saved into eternal life, while all those who are unfaithful, are damned. Therefore, the entire crew goes down with Ahab except for Ishmael, who was theoretically faithful. Thus proving the metaphor of the battle between the evil powers of the Devil versus the divine powers of God and Jesus, both try to obtain the souls of mankind in order to assist in each other's destruction.
Ralph then assigns the Choir, led by Jack, to be the hunters. Then Jack, Ralph, and Simon set out to explore the island. Near the end of their journey, they encounter a wild pig. Jack tries to kill it, but is unsuccessful. When the explorers get back, a meeting is held.
The ship is a group of Narnians sailing east looking for the seven lost lords of Narnia. Caspain the king of Narnia is leading the search group along with Ripecheep the leader of the talking mice.( In Narnia animals talk and walk around like humans) Edmund, Lucy, and Eustace since came into the world in the ocean they have to go along on the rescue mission. They come to an island and they had to find food and supplies. Eustace decided to go rest for awhile and finds a place up a hill. When he wakes from his nap there is a thick fog and he thinks he knows the way that he came from. He walks down into a valley and sees a pond and decides to take a drink. He sees a cave and decides to go in. Inside the cave there is gold, jewels, crowns, diamond, all kinds of treasure. He puts a bracelet on and while he was sitting in a pile of gold he fell back asleep. When he woke up his arm was very sores and noticed the band was now very tight. Eustace walked over to the pond to take a drink and sees the relexion of a dragon in the water. He had been turned to a dragon by taking the dragons gold. He is a dragon for a few days then Aslan(Aslan is the great emperor of Narnia) comes to visit him and changes him back.
Washington Irving’s short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” was adapted into a movie titled “Sleepy Hollow” directed by Tim Burton nearly two centuries after the original publication. When the story was adapted as a film, several extensive changes were made. A short story easily read in one sitting was turned into a nearly two-hour thriller, mystery, and horror movie by incorporating new details and modifying the original version of the story. The short story relates the failed courtship of Katrina Van Tassel by Ichabod Crane. His courtship is cut short by the classic romance antagonist-the bigger, stronger, and better looking Broom Bones. Ichabod wishes to marry Katrina because of her beauty but also because of the wealthy inheritance she will receive when her father, Baltus Van Tassel and stepmother, Lady Van Tassel die. However, the film tells the story of Ichabod Crane as an investigator who is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the recent decapitations that are occurring. These modifications alter the original story entirely, thus failing to capture the Irving’s true interpretation of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The film and the original story have similarities and differences in the plot, characters, and setting.
Quint has destroyed the radio and pushed the ship until the motor explodes and the vessel begins to take on water. Hooper has escaped death by diving to the bottom of the ocean here and Quint has already been killed by the shark. Brody is facing one last effort to shoot the compressed air cylinder lodged in the sharks mouth or die trying.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is the third book in the trilogy of J. K. Rowlings other Harry Potter books, though she is coming out with four more books in the coming years.
...im decides to tell Long John everything he did to try to ruin his plan to find the treasure he spares Jim’s life even though the other pirates want him dead. Long John also decides to stand by Jim even though he has a feeling his crew is going to take him out of his captain position. Jim shows a lot of courage and that he’s a man of his word when he is given the opportunity to run away but instead he decides to stay because he gave Long John his word that he will help him through his trial. Jim is taken to where the treasure is believed to be but when they dig up the area there was no treasure. The treasure is later discovered at site where Ben Gunn has hidden it. The reasons I mentioned earlier steers Jim in the right direction of the treasure because of him not trusting Long John but instead using his smarts and his very high maturity level to find the treasure.
Nevertheless, as the weather changed and got better they were happy that the Mariner killed the bird. The shipmates were wrong in supporting the killing of the bird, as the spirits wrath pushed the ship into tumultuous, uncharted waters and the spirits made them face arid conditions which led to dehydration. The shipmates then decide to change their mind again about what happened to the bird and then they confront the Mariner and make him wear the dead bird around his neck.
Few movies have been panned by critics but widely accepted by viewers across the nation. National Treasure is one of them. Even after receiving sub par reviews including only two stars from Roger Ebert, National Treasure won over the public, earning almost $350 million worldwide. Even though the movie is under the Walt Disney Company and has a PG rating, this movie is not just for children. Superb acting and action from beginning to end will keep people of all ages glued to their seat as they follow one man’s quest for a hidden treasure.
