Death Penalty
The death penalty should be a loud in California due to the fact of over population in our prisons and some criminals don’t deserve the second chance. Many people think the death penalty is inhumane and killing a human being off is against human morals. However the death penalty doesn’t have to be for petty crimes like stealing or vandalism, the death penalty should be for heinous crimes such as murder, rape, or any other crime that involves killing any other human being. For this they have lost their right to be given a second chance. States such as Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Missouri, Ohio, and Arizona regularly execute convicted murderers. The prisons also take up most of our tax dollars to feed criminals or give them a place to stay. An average prison gets better food during the day then the children who attend elementary through high school. The death penalty is also the ultimate punishment. If we enforced the death penalty the state of California would probably have less crimes being committed. Having the death penalty will have criminals think before they try to do any crimes knowing that if they make one false step they can be put to death. This could really help crime go down dramatically. Even though most people find the death penalty to be cruel and against human morals, it is not always like that. Many states in the United States use quick and painless injections to put the criminals to death. Even though this is still putting another human being to death it doesn’t dismiss the fact that those criminals didn’t care for the other person’s right of living, so it doesn’t seem like they should have the right either. Especially if the death penalty was already enforce and they know what they are getting themselves
