Recommended: Advantages of technology in the military use

War fighting in the United States consisted of sending all the branches of the Armed Forces to the location of the threat and to maintain and defeat the enemy. Since 9/11, the military has been stretched thin trying to neutralize every issue around the globe. During Operation Enduring Freedom, the United States and their allies invaded Afghanistan trying to bring Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to just for their suspected involvement of the terrorist attack in New York. This operation also was to strike a fatal blow to the Taliban military and relinquishing their stronghold over parts of the country. The was in Afghanistan lasted for close to 13 years until President Obama began bringing troops back home while keeping a certain amount over there to teach their military how to defend themselves. Interesting thing is what while the US and NATO was invading Afghanistan, they also invaded Iraq to topple the infamous Saddam Hussein. The casualties lost in Afghanistan were in the low thousands since 2001 and with the future state of the world and possibly another war blooming on the horizon, many Americans don’t think the US should continue sending the military trying to put out other country fires. The constant threat of cyber terrorism is just one of many different strategic weapons a country can use to fight another country. As long as the World Wide Web is up and operating, the threat of viruses and others will forever be a serious issue to computer networks all over the world. The internet will become a battlefield for countries to see who can strike the fatal blow network wise that could potentially bring a country to its knees.
