Are you willing to risk your life for drinking? Underage drinking is illegal and should not be allowed. This is law that should never be broken. The legal age is twenty-one, but many other people have had their first alcoholic drink way before this age. When a teenager has an alcoholic drink, it can cause many harmful things. It can cause mental and physical problems to their health. Drinking under the legal age is an ignorant thing to do. Very destructive and atrocious behaviors could come from having drinks under the age. Camy.org states that about forty percent of teenagers in the United States have had their first alcoholic drink before the age of fifteen. If you think about how many teenagers there is in the United States, there are way too many minors in possession. It could result in death, alcohol poisoning, and many other serious health risks. According to niaaa.nih.org that seventy percent of teens by the age of eight-teen that have related health problems to these have had more than one alcoholic drink in their life. This could also cause serious damages to the brain and to the body. If teenagers started drinking at the age of thirteen or four-teen, and they didn’t stop drinking it could cause cirrhosis of the liver which can kill you. Many people who drink under the age think that this is ok. Underage drinkers think of this as a stress reliever and that it will cure any of the problems that they have. Many teenagers have stress put on them. Such as students that have a lot of homework every night, they have to study for tests, they have jobs, they also might be worrying about taking the SAT’s and ACT’s, and they also might be worrying about getting into collage.
