To put it simply, taking too many fish out of the seas before new fish can be born to replace the ones that were caught by us. If current trend keeps continueing we might not have a future where all our kids cant enjoy the great fishes in this world. Extracting too many fish from the ocaen can hurt the food web. Fishermans fish before new fish can be born to replace the ones that were caught. Its takes some fish a month or more to reproduce. Thats why we have a calendar for seasons to catch the fishes and it helps the fish to reproduce. Overfishing, typically, leads to a decline in the population of productive fish, which results in lesser stocking of the fish. If overfishing is curtailed, we can hope to revive the declining marine population in a few years.
Third reason that overfishing causes affect on the food web. The fish near the bottom of the ocean food chain are often more affected. The sardines, anchovies, herrings, and shrimp are mostly caught.when we catch them and leave nothing there the predators was forced to look where they never explored. Like sharks had to search more by the bays and beaches because they are despreted to eat. Thats why over fishing is hurting the food chain and the food web.

Overfishing may have some benefits to it, but does it out way the negatives? By fulfilling our demand we can wipe out our whole oceans! Not just the fish, but water mammals too. Sure it can create jobs, but as what cost? It can help bring up our economy, but at the same time it can bring it down with many fish companies closing down due to lack of profit. Fish is a great source of nutrients, but too much can kill you! In other words, fish can be both beneficial and harmful to not only humans, but everyone and everything surrounding fish. One last thing to do is if you see a sewer with a sign leading to the ocean, try not to leave trash near it, or better yet don’t litter at all! You see, lots of people love to fish, but some people take it a bit over the top. Fishermen fish almost everyday but some of them fish for hours and hours catching a ton of fish. Millions of people rely on the ocean every day and other people in other parts of the world that need the fish in the water to eat and survive on.
Simply, overfishing depletes fish stocks. The consumer demand for fish has risen dramatically over the past decade or so, so much that fisheries are designing new and innovate ways to catch more fish, and at a faster rate to meet consumer demands. What fisheries do not realize, though, is that their removal of fish from the oceans is too great and far too fast for new fish stocks to be made. So, no mating is occurring, leaving the oceans emptier each day. If this rate continues, all fish in the ocean will be almost non-existent. This notion is taught to most students in grade school and will carry on through the rest of their lives helping them make the most educated decisions they can. Logically, the greater the demand for something, the greater the profit will be. Presently, the largest demand for whaling is by Japan, Norway, and Iceland all of whom partake in whaling for either commercial or “research” purposes. This practice is largely scrutinized by conservationists who believe that commercial whaling is going to bring some species of whales to extinction. I chose to discuss overfishing as my topic. The definition of overfishing is: form of overexploitation where fish stocks are reduced to below acceptable levels. The killing of whales and dolphins by these fishermen is illegal and is seen as disturbing by most. The line between necessary fishing and the inhumane killing of an excessive amount of wildlife has not been clearly established. While laws introduced by the International Whaling Commission have been put into effect, many whales and dolphins have been killed since then by numerous countries using loopholes to do so.
