A simple word, for something so complicated. But I have some great tips to help you get along with other people, and even make some great friends. I have heard many stories of life long friends who hung out together in middle school. My best advice is to be wise with you make friends with. You don’t want to end up with bad people. But a huge problem that I see is people end up hanging out with others that end up making then hurt , but they don’t have the courage to tell them, or make a decision choose other friends. That is something that you need to summon yourself. If you don’t like who you hang out with, you need to do something about it. I would recommend finding out who is good to stick with and who you shouldn’t. Something that also happens very commonly, is that as junior highers, things tend to get hectic, and you overthink things, and make them more dramatic. Especially in 7th grade. This will make your life harder. And if you are in sports, or anything after school, you need to refrain from taking in too much. Time management is extremely important. Education is a huge topic of controversy, society is always trying to reform what we know as education today. Right now, the first 12 years of education are entirely free for students directly, but in the end are paid for by the taxpayers of the town. The question is, why should only grades k-12 be free why not a college education too? On the other hand, there are some exceptions to free schooling at the k-12 levels. The most prominent being, Private schooling, most towns in the United States have at least one if not many private schools. They require a certain amount in tuition for each of its students every year. An example of this, in my town Salem, NH one of the most known private catholic schools is St. Joseph 's. Ask yourself, how was your 8th grade year… Was it good, bad, fun, or stressful? Well most of my 8th grade year was bad but the ending actually turned out good. The start of my year was exciting, but that was just the beginning. As time went on and the work started to come in, that's when things turned south for me. I started stressing about everything I had to do, I was getting to overwhelmed. I would catch myself slipping constantly and it was worrying me because I didn't want to get held back a year. I slowly started to lose all interest in all of my work.
By the time I was a senior, I began concentrating more on my studies, and less on other things. Once I started applying myself, my grades improved, and so did my attitude about my education. Senior year flew by before I knew it, and I still had to take my SAT's. I was sick with bronchitis, but had to take them because it was the last available date. I struggled through them, knowing that if I had only not waited until the last minute, I could have redone them when I was healthy.
Making the transition from middle school to high school is a huge stepping stone in a teenager’s life. High school represents both the ending of a childhood and the beginning of adulthood. It’s a rite of passage and often many teens have the wrong impression when beginning this passage. Most began high school with learning the last thing on their mind. They come in looking for a story like adventure and have a false sense of reality created through fabricated movie plots acted out by fictional characters. In all actuality high school is nothing like you see in movies, television shows, or what you read about in magazines.

Gafka’s quote summarizes my Junior year as I had to grew accustom to many difficulties, face many challenges, and struggles such as time management as well as how I decided to take three Ap classes during my Junior year. Which were Ap US History, Physics, and English not to mention having a Math 140 zero period class and a Network+ computer course outside of school which made me have a busy schedule. Nevertheless I learned and gain a lot of new knowledge throughout my Junior year.
Community colleges in California should offer two years of free education to students that are responsible. First, by making community college free for two years, struggling low income families can get a two year education at their local community college. By going to a free college people can save money for two years and transfer out to a better college with the money that they have saved. More student will switch from expensive colleges, and come to a less expensive college and acquire their Associate's degree. Next, some of the students will realize that they are going to graduate from an expensive college, and they are going to leave with a diploma and a huge debt in loans. Some people just need an Associate's Degree to get the job that they want and people can get that in two years. For example to become a police officer, people need an Associate's degree, and be twenty one years of age. Last, the crime in the cities will be reduced if community colleges would offer free education. Entering my first year into high school my mind was juvenile I was not yet adjusted to the high school atmosphere. At the time I was still worried about the little things in school such as friends and associates. My first priority was never my work; it used to be entertainment over all. Along that came with my priorities came procrastination and that led to me delaying my assignments hoping for a teacher to give me a "second chance". Forthcoming, at the end of the second quarter my ninth grade year I received a rude awakening.
The education system has been changing in recent years and the same problems that existed continue to get worse as years pass. Problems that were seen as minor at first have now grown. How to change the public higher education system has been a major topic of discussion but there has still been no major action taken. We struggle to figure out how much funding is needed for higher education and where it should come from. Our people continue to suffer from an underfunded high cost system. The wealthy minority of people continue to be the only ones accounted for and it is time to change this. We need to adapt to the changes and the costs that continue to rise. Education is meant to be the key to a successful life. It is supposed to inspire great ideas, and prepare each and every generation for their future. Every student knows education is important, but when school is not engaging or in some cases, even relevant, it makes learning difficult. Improving the school system is something educators attempt to accomplish every year. Despite their best efforts, there are numerous flaws students see, but adults overlook. There is a lack of diversity for students to learn, an overabundance of testing, and students’ voices are being ignored on how to create a more productive learning experience.
