Guns have the potential to inflict serious injuries, and intensify violence. Gun violence is a constant issue the United States has dealt with for many years. Gun violence is preventable. It can be prevented through a public health approach that keeps communities and families safe. Violence is an epidemic in this society. Preventing the spread of violence has to be a priority.
Gun violence affects things like communities, basic institutions, and the health care system. A constant support at all levels of society will be required to prosperously address this bewildering and chronic problem. Addressing gun violence will require a multidimensional approach. Gun violence is an urgent, complex and multifaceted problem.
• Things like background checks and better enforcement have to be part of the solution.
• Thorough background checks of businesses that sell guns.
• Gun trafficking should be treated as a serious crime.
Everyone agrees that dangerous individuals-such as violent criminals, the mentally ill, drug abusers, and offenders of domestic violence- should not be permitted to own a firearm. To know or determine whether or not an individual is capable of handling or owning a firearm under the law a background check must be conducted.
Developmental issues
Reducing incidents of gun violence arising from criminal conduct or suicide is an important goal. Gun violence is higher in the United States than any other industrialized country. Things like mass shooting, domestic abuse, and homicide are the problem. All of the policies being proposed are recycled and many are already in effect.
