A person can express their own feelings about their gender in many different ways. Some people are comfortable with the social norms that match their body type to the way they feel about themselves and their gender. Others do not, and may consider going to extreme lengths to harmonize their outward appearance with their inward sexual identification. Gender reassignment, otherwise known as a sex change operation, is where genitalia is altered to become the opposite gender from which one was born. The reasons for a person to decide to undergo such an operation can include a number of circumstances or situations. Reasons can vary from personal uncertainty to peer influence. Many people, of all ages, choose to undergo sex change surgery. However, such an operation is wrong and dangerous. A much better alternative is for people to choose for themselves what choices in lifestyle they want to make. Everyone determines their own gender identification. Gender is one of the expressions of a person’s choices and interests who make them unique. If a little boy chooses to play with a toy intended for girls, should he be scolded?
