Malnutrition in everyday school lunches
Have you ever sat at a table one day staring at the gross block of food that sometimes schools will serve to you and just thought, how is this what I'm being served. Okay, but to be honest not all school lunches are that bad, but the point I'm trying to get across is that schools aren't getting paid nearly enough what they should be getting paid to fill all the schools children’s nutritional need along with other criteria’s. And you may be thinking why the government isn't paying schools enough money to provide all our young growing minds with enough food to meet their daily needs. But it's actually a lot more complex than that. Why the government isn't paying enough?
I'll start off by telling you about the NSLP or the National School Lunch Program which is a federally assisted meal program operating in over 100,000 public and nonprofit private schools and residential child care institutions. And this program is regulated by federal meal requirements which set the daily needs for a child nutrition. But the problem with the whole thing isn't the program but it's the students within that program. Everyday hundred of thousands of kids wealthy or not, are receiving lunches for free all payed by federal taxpayers, when half of them don't even eat what's on …show more content…

So why is this happening in the first place. Well the act does not put into the fact that kids have money at all and it only chases to feed kids every day at school. And this is the problem with the program as it it wasting money on students who obviously don't need the free lunches. So I ask that all parents who know they are well off to make lunches for your kids or pay for your kids lunches as the government can't pay for every single student in the U.S
