No More Disowning the Cloning Cloning was a thought, a thing, something that seemed impossible, until one sheep was cloned. It was a miracle that seemed as if it could never happen once more, until once again, two monkeys were cloned, meaning they had the exact same genetic makeup of a different monkey. They were the same exact monkey, just in a different body. While some people would argue that cloning can lead to overpopulation, cloning should be permitted for research and to save endangered species. Some people may contradict or disagree with the idea of cloning animals because of overpopulation. They worry that cloning animals will result in crowding and too much of one or more species. However, it is not an issue because only some people, scientists usually, would have access to the technology and equipment that enables the ability to clone. According to a website, “England, Singapore, Sweden, China and Israel allow cloning for research, but prohibit it for reproduction.” This means, only a few countries are cloning, so it is not a process that every country will take part in. It can assist scientists to further understand and evaluate solutions to certain medical issues, along with others. A news report on two new cloned monkeys said, “They ultimately hope the creation of these clones help researchers understand human disease.” With cloning, scientists can have more hands on experiences to see different solutions to diseases that they hadn’t been able to test before. In doing so, they will get a detailed and thorough view/perception of the effects of certain lab work. Death rates from incurable and unfortunate diseases may start to go down, getting rid of the pain/sorrow that go hand in hand with them. Cloning and research will prevent more deaths from unknown
