Ever have to choose what students want for lunch? Is it healthy or unhealthy? Schools need to realize that not many students eat as it is, and changing the school menus is only going to increase the amount of students not wanting to eat school lunch. Changing the school menu would make students skip school and go get fast food, and then get in trouble for skipping. Starvation would become a big role in the school. For kids that have a lot of money to eat out. So, yes changing the menu can be a bad idea for the school and the students.
The new menu would cause fewer kids to eat. And also will lose money for the school, because not many students are going to eat something they don’t like. So, why put money on their account if it’s a known fact

The healthier lunch menu would cause more sickness because it something the students never had.; therefore, more students would miss school. Changing the lunch menu would cause students go get fast food, not eat school lunch is a bad idea if the school wants to continue getting money. School menu should not be changed because it’s going to cause the following: starvation, lost of money to the school board and probably lunch ladies quitting their jobs, because they’re not getting paid, none of the students eating lunch, because many of the students don’t like the new lunch menu. But, some parents say it would make their students healthier having a new lunch menu. Other parents don’t like the fact that the menu is getting changed. The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act has taken over schools nationwide and needs to be stopped. There are more negatives than positives that go along with this act and there needs to be an end. Schools should not have to waste money on expensive food to have it not be eaten. Students should be able to enjoy what the lunchroom has to offer. The students do not buy these lunches so the food goes to waste. I don't think our school lunch is healthy because it has fat and too much sodium. Although it is good it is fattening it is the reason for much of the obesity in the U.S. Many kids have no other option to eat the unhealthy school lunches or they will be hungry.

First, longer school lunches will cause classes to be shorter, resulting in less learning time. The students will not gain information quickly, and would have less time to ask teachers questions. Teachers would have to stay at school longer. Teachers already have to stay after school to grade assignments, and bring work home as well. They will have to plan lessons and grade. If they do this, they will be extremely tired and will not be attentive in class. If they are tired, they could fall asleep in class, and might not teach the best that they can. Students already having less learning time will get terrible teaching and information, and then they will not be smart. Non-intelligent students might not get into university or college, and would have to work without a degree, earning little money. Having different food can affect a child health. There are milky ways, cake, cookies, pizza and lets just add some French fries in there and call that lunch. Don’t forget the drink sweet tea, pop and milk that one doesn’t choose to drink it. The students would go back to the class rooms after twenty minutes and be hungry at the end of the da. Garland said, “Instead, we allow school cafeterias to dispense the same junk food that kids could buy in any mall” (621). Imagine that you walk into a cafeteria and you see children in line to buy lunch. The lunch is burnt and cold. You see the kids who bought lunch sit down and start asking people for food, they say no. At the end of the lunch period the kids lunch trays still have all the food on them. The children are starving and a lot of food was wasted. You don’t want that right? I believe that our school should get a new lunch menu because many students do not like the food served, there are not many options, and there are many problems with the food.
Why is this a problem? Cafeteria food is often cheap, bought in bulk, high in calories, malnutritious, and microwaved. Student polls and opinions prove this. Therefore, this leads to a suggestion: Healthier, tastier foods and a better, more advanced lunch system should be implemented.
