Today, the green sea turtles population is growing and in the Florida Refuge they counted up to over 12,000 turtle nests. It is shocking to see how much the refuges care about the green sea turtles. They have been looking out for the turtles for 35 years. It was interesting to find out that these green sea turtles live for a really long time. It takes the turtles 25 years just to mature. Keeping animals locked in cages, bored and cramped up in such a small space is an awful sight to show the children. It creates an image in the little minds of children that animals are to be treated like they don’t matter. They say Zoos are a place where children can learn about the wild, exotic animals, but in reality it doesn't teach them anything only that they are meant to be caged up, which is wrong. Also, it is really painful to see the animals bored and lonely, so why should people keep letting them do this to these beautiful creatures. Sea turtle is one of long distance migratory species in the marine environment. There are four out of seven species of sea turtles recorded to nest in Terengganu, Malaysia which includes Leatherback (Dermochelys coriacea), Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata), and Olive Ridley (Lepidochelys olivacea). Stranding is defined as any sea turtle, dead or alive with abnormalities (injured, weak, diseases) washes ashore or near the shore (Vélez-Rubio et al., 2013). With the increasing of public awareness, more sighting of stranded sea turtles were reported which helped to improve the data collection. Stranding of sea turtles in this studies focus on carcasses found along Terengganu beaches in 2014. By collecting data about stranded sea turtles, information such as death causes and its natal origin can be determine from the carcass itself.

Not all exotic animals are dangerous and for that reason certain exotic animals should be legalized. Keeping exotic animals as pets could help bring some of the endangered exotic species up. There should be a special transport for exotic animals that keeps them safe and secured.
Many people believe that the only way to get a pet is to “buy” one without considering adopting, which is why I believe people should consider looking up better options and become more knowledgeable. There are so many reasons why someone shouldn’t buy a pet from a breeder, and so many benefits from adopting a pet from your local shelter/animal rescue.

Pets are all over the world, and a part of many people's everyday lives. After seeing my grandmas dog close to death about a week ago, it reminded me of how impacted I was when I lost a pet in the past. That’s when I realized that pets leave a very impactful mark on other people's lives. Then, I remembered not everyone has had pets in their lives due to various reasons like allergies and seeing them as dangerous. This led me to my research question; Should kids have pets in their lives? Weighing the options, I can see both sides to the question at hand. I was a child who grew up with pets by my side, but I also had been greatly harmed by one. When I was just a preschooler, I was critically bit by my own dog in the face, just inches away from a fatal vein in my neck. I still have the scar to this day, yet I still surround myself with animals everyday.
