Persuasive Against Uniforms

I think that children and teens should not have to wear school uniforms. It deprives them of their freedom of speech. Uniforms are believed to be degrading and appalling to most. Everything would be dull and boring if everyone looked the same and wore the same stuff. Some kids become stressed out and could get depressed because they cannot choose what they can wear, in our own country? The land of the free and the home of the brave and we can’t even choose what we wear? For the most part students would become angry and violent, and worst case scenario, suicide.
Kids have the right to pick out what they wear. Everyone has the right to express themselves freely and by the way they look. It can tell what kind of person they are. Think about it, you go into a school that has uniforms you see everyone wearing the same stuff who is who? What kind of personality could they have, maybe one like being a brick wall. Walk into a school without uniforms and you can instantly tell anyone’s personality by what they wear, so they express their emotions through their clothing.

They seem to work best when whole school communities discuss and agree upon a policy and then enforce it. And most proponents agree that requiring uniforms will only bring success if other programs accompany it. Uniforms may be a part of the solution, but they are not the only way to improve schools. But some students and parents say uniforms can be very expensive for parents. School uniform clothing is unlikely to be useful for anything outside of school, and schools may require that parents purchase clothing from specific vendors. If schools do not require that students wear clothing sold by specific vendors, students will likely wish to wear name-brand clothing, which is very expensive and undermines the notion that uniforms promote social
