Give Me Summer Summer vacation is a very important part of a student's life. Every monday a need for a break is expressed as students fall asleep in first hour and drag from one class to another. As a student myself, the only reason why I can handle going to school five days a week is because of the light at the end of the tunnel: friday and summer. My need for summer is like Mrs Johnston's need for coffee: I won’t last long before I feel like I’m going to die without it. Summer is such an important part of my life that if the school board took it away, I would gladly start flipping burgers. I can do homework eight days a week, I can place ten alarms for 5 am, I can deal with the immature groups of kids, I can deal with the overcrowded hallways, but I can’t deal with the absence of summer vacations. Come July, the hot weather will leave you with sweaty palms after writing with a pencil. The classrooms would be so hot that our school would have to provide …show more content…

Many parents are willing to give up their kids summer vacation because they think that it will save electricity money. Summer actually will not lower the electricity bills, it would just spread it throughout the twelve months because students will get a one week break every month. During these monthly breaks, students will still stay up late at nights, use technology all day, and eat a lot. Don’t think that taking summer away will save parents money. When i’m tired, I think of summer vacation. When i’m stressed, I think of summer. It’s what keeps me going when it’s Monday. Without summer, I would lose it. My life would not be complete. After a good summer break i’m ready to back to school. Fun, stress-free summer vacation.
