I just woke up from a small nap on the plane. My partner and I were going to Egypt to dig a new site that our team had found on our satellite images. We were “armchair archeologists”, we used satellite images to find lost egyptian sites. “Hey Frederick I think we found a good site, especially because it’s right by The Great Pyramid. It may have some type of connection with Pharaoh Khufu,” James said. “Yea this is going to be a great find,” I say. As we get off of the plane we rent a car to get to the site. We get into the Jeep and drive towards the site. I grab my computer and turn it on. “Copy those coordinates for me Frederick, because I can’t find the site,” James said as he speeds up in the Jeep. “On it,” I say while i'm getting the coordinates. …show more content…

I’ve never been on this site. The Great Pyramid looks even bigger than I thought, because I’ve never seen it in person. I wonder how the ancients made this amazing pyramid, they must have been very architecturally developed. As I'm thinking about the amazing pyramid James says to me,” We're here, let’s start digging.” We go to the back of the Jeep and grab the supplies we need from the trunk. I walk over there and think that this is going to take forever to dig up. I take a big gulp of my water as I feel the sweat dripping down my neck already. After digging for about an hour I start to feel exhausted. I didn’t want to tell James, because I didn’t want to look like a wimp. So I keep on digging as my arms feel even more tired. I dig into the ground and then I collapse. Frederick automatically notices and rushes over to me and picks me up. He puts me in my tent and we both rest for a while.
