After getting the chance to play soccer in different places around Los Angeles, I got the oppourtunity to meet people with different level of skills and dedication to the game. I used to play in a co-ed league at Santa Monica every Sundays but stopped due to time restraint. In this paper, I will be talking about three players that I interviewed and played with for a short period of time. In addition, I will be comparing and contrasting them to each other and have an assumption of who the best player can be.
Ahmed Al-Ali is a 26 years old soccer player that loves to play in defense due to his muscular physique. I had the opportunity to play with and against him in my time playing at the coed league at Santa Monica. I asked him a few questions …show more content…

I first met him when a friend of mine told me that he needed extra players for a free play match in Lake Balboa where it is close to where I live. His style of play consists of agility and stamina with great dribbling skills. I asked him the same questions I did to Ahmed. He said due to the fact that he’s in high school and that he plays with the high school team, he feels that it is mandatory for him to train everyday and to watch videos in YouTube to learn new skills. He trains 5-6 times per week and does cardio every day. His body is thin in terms of comparing it with Ahmed’s, but he’s taller and great in headers. His favorite team is Arsenal and unlike Ahmed, he never misses a game. He argues how hard it is for him to wake up early morning to watch his favorite team play. When I asked if he’s considering soccer as a career, he said that his dream would be to become an airplane pilot, but if that didn’t work out, he would leave soccer as his second option. He said soccer is fun but I don’t want it to be my life. Rating Andy was tough because if he is good in attack, he would lack in defense and he would use be running around the field chasing the ball rather than playing with precise vision. I would give Andy 9/10 for skills and 6/10 for body and
