Personal Narrative On A Football Team

“Time,” Coach yells from the sideline. It was the final quarter of the game and we had the ball and we were down by 3 points.
“Lets run a play where we have Greg come off a screen and shoot the 3 to tie the game. But if he misses make sure you get the rebound and kick back out so we can shoot another one. If we don’t get the rebound make sure that you foul them and send them to the line and hopefully they miss.”
“Hurry up,” the refs yells to both teams. “We don’t have all day.”
My team breaks it down and goes back on the court. Everybody was ready for the ump to say ball in. Finally when the ref says play we start running to wear coach told us to. Rory passes me the ball and I run off the screen and pop and make the three. “LET’S GO,” I yell and the other team calls a timeout right after that.

“We are gonna run a press so they can’t set up a play.
There is 10 seconds left in the game and both teams come out of there huddle ready to close out the game. “Don’t let the get pass half court,” I tell my teammate on the court. When the ref blows everyone starts running and this kid and I trip and fall. “Foul,” the ref says. “Number 4 on chan with a reaching foul.” “What are you kidding me, he ran into me how in the heck is that a foul on me.” “My angles it looked like the you kinda tripped him.” The ref says. “Well it wasn’t but that is ok because we will still win.”
