Personal Narrative: My First Day For Cheerleading

I have ever seen a group of girls in the football game, they are not galloping on the field, they are not the protagonist in the game, but they stay at the field until the game is end. I have to say, they are full of the spirit of struggling. At that time, cheerleading begins to attract me.

April 18th, it was the first day for cheerleading tryout. I came to the gym with a feeling of excitement. At there, I saw a lot of familiar faces. To my surprise, they are very friendly, and take the initiative to help me. Just a few days, they led me to become more confident.

I knew they returned member in the squad they already learned these cheer, dance and side-land, so when Nell Gray taught these, I was upset because feel I learned so slow. However, lots of the squad members and coaches gave me some valuable suggestions. …show more content…

19th, it’s the second day for cheerleading tryout. We followed the music to do the dance, but the music was so fast that I can not get with it. In the other way, I found I can finish the whole dance without music! For now, it’s still unbelievable for me.

When we have the break, Mary Kate came to me and said “ Sherry, you really did a good job.” Because of her encouragement, I became more confident. When I did the dance, the voice of everyone’s encouragement around me.

After the second day’s tryout, Ms. Daniels came to ask my feeling, and she taught me the words of cheers many times until I remembered it and and spoke it confidently. I really feel thankful to her, because she would like to sacrifice her time and helped me.

April. 20th, it’s the last day for tryout. At this day, we already finished learning and tried to do some final practices. With the music, we shaked our body and shouted slogans. To my surprise, I could fellow the music! I did it.

“ See, Sherry, I said you can did it!” said Mary Kate
“Sherry, thank you for your so hard work, you did really good.” said Ms. Daniels
