My First Car
The struggle of buying a new car for a teenager is real. My parents didn’t want to spend a whole lot for my first car. At first, my parents searched for cheap cars that had over 100,000 miles on it. My parents also thought about how much the insurance would cost. I was going to be stuck with paying for my own gas but I didn’t care because I would be able to drive around wherever I wanted. I was already thinking about all the places I would go with my friends before I even had my car. That was the easy part, the hard part was locating a good car for the right price.
My parents had bought a sports car about two years before. They were willing to trade it in to pay for my car but they wouldn’t pay a cent more. It was hard for them to part with the sports car that they loved so much, but they wanted to buy me a car so that I would stop bugging them for rides. They were starting to get annoyed of having to take me everywhere and always needing a ride back home.
