Personal Narrative: My Brother DJ

During our lives, we meet different and unique people all along the way, and sometimes we are born to meet these people. My brother DJ, who has a large head, and small ears, is a very brilliant, athletic and hardworking person, which is why many people have a favorable opinion towards him. DJ currently attends the United States Naval Academy. He also plays outside linebacker on the football team. DJ possibly has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen. He is currently considering becoming a pilot after he graduates from the Naval Academy. I strive to emulate my brother, but at the same time, I realize I am my own person do not concur with him on all his opinions. My brother is a phenomenal person who has used his brilliance, athleticism, and work ethic to be rewarded with many accolades. DJ is very brilliant, which is part of the reason he was granted admission into the Naval Academy. Throughout his high school career, he made the honor roll every quarter of every semester. During his Junior year of high school, he scored very well on the ACT, improving his chances of being accepted into the Naval Academy. In Fact, he did so well he was not required to enroll into the Naval Academy Prep School in Rhode Island for a year, before becoming a student at Navy. He would wake up super early to get to school at 6:30am every day to lift weights or to run. His freshman year of high school he was not very good at football, but he worked harder than anyone on the team the entire summer, and look what happened. He is such a tremendously hard worker; I’ve seen him fall asleep on his books multiple times while studying into the early morning hours. His hard work inspires me to not be a slacker, and to try my hardest in anything I am doing whether it is schoolwork, exercising, or playing sports. Anyone can learn a lesson about hard work by looking at his work
