Kyle’s Disappearance Part One Elise peddled her bike out of the concrete driveway, her eleven year old brother, Kyle, trailing behind her. “Keep up Kyle, we’re gonna be late,” she said. It was Kyle’s first time biking to school, so they left early to ensure they wouldn’t be late. Elise road along the edge of the road, making sure Kyle wasn’t too far behind her. Just then, another biker joined them, Kyle’s friend Carter who was the most obnoxious kid in the neighborhood, peddled beside him. “Elise! Elise! Can Carter come with us?” Kyle asked. “Carter, you know the way, right?” Carter nodded his head. She just sat there, silent. She couldn’t help but put this on herself, if only she had stayed with them. Just then, one of the officers phone rang, he urgently picked up the phone. The color drained from his face. “they found something,” he said. Elise and her family were rushed back to their neighborhood. They were taken into the woods a few blocks away from their house. There, laying in the leaves was Kyle’s bright red bike. Elise ran toward it, she knew Kyle wasn’t anywhere near there, but it was his bike, he loved that thing. She examined it, tears running down her face. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a small folded piece of paper. She quickly picked it up and stuffed it in her pocket.
