“I was late to work one day in the past three years and you dock my pay two hundred dollars per year!” I yelled at my boss for an unfair drop in salary. “I quit man,” I said walking out of his office. “Effective immediately.” I got back to my crappy apartment and realized that I was going to have to have my phone cut off so I decided to switch to a burner phone save a little bit of green per month. So I got into my car to travel to the Family Dollar down the street because I knew they sold burner phones. “Uhh fine,” I groaned getting up to grab the remote. I was about to turn it back on when my new burner phone started going off, puzzled I looked at and answered. It was just my friend calling to test out my new number to make sure it works. I told him how I quit my job, and how my former boss is A COMPLETE MORON. anyway we talked for a bit and I turned Netflix back on and started watching and found out one of my favorite shows is going to be taken off of Netflix. In fact it is my all time favorite. and I quit my job so I can’t afford to buy the DVD of it. That’s annoying. I couldn’t get to sleep that night so I just kept watching Netflix. I was a little bit nervous about switching to a burner phone. Mainly because I’ve heard stories of people getting mixed up into organized crime because their new phone number belonged to a former gang member or something. I walked from one side of the city to the other looking for “HELP WANTED” signs. I found a couple of them that wouldn’t be completely demeaning. I went in and applied and even then there was a fifty percent chance that they would call me back, and after the interview there was a one percent chance that they would hire me. I had gone everywhere and barely any places are hiring. I checked the job section in the newspaper, Yes they still have those, and I found some jobs that I’m going to apply for next. I went home and filled out a bunch of applications most of them were online. I sent them all in and am waiting for a call back. I got a couple call backs within the next couple days and went in for an interview and eventually got a job at this small diner near my apartment Dave’s Diner. Really sketchy place. As soon as I started my job I realized we don't get that much business. It’s kind of a dive. rented retail space right next to a dry cleaners with a full bar and unstable tables and different plates.
