“Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd.” Every time I hear this song sung, it reminds me of my favorite sport, baseball. I love baseball and I love watching the Chicago Cubs. If I had to choose a place where I would always be perfectly content, I would choose historic Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs. Wrigley Field is more than just a landmark to me. It is a place that reminds me of my childhood, gives me a sense of belonging, and gives me a sense that I can reach my dreams. My childhood was filled with its ups and downs just like everyone else, but I always had a few constants: my family, my faith, and my Wrigley Field. Wrigley Field helped me grow into the young man I am now. It was, is, and will continue to be a place where I can go to relax, think, have fun, and learn about baseball. I am filled with great memories that I will never forget such as the time Carlos Zambrano threw me his bullpen baseball before the start of a game, the time Dereck Lee waved to the crowd as he got into his car after a game, and the time when my parents surprised me on fifteenth birthday with a tour of Wrigley Field. These memories will stay with me and bring joy to me for the rest of my life. …show more content…

Wrigley’s grass is lush and green. The ivy is flowing perfectly in the soft breeze. I can smell the hot dogs cooking on the grill, hear the vendors selling peanuts and Cracker Jacks, and feel the soft sun shining on a gorgeous day. The fans, team, and staff create a sense of belonging and pride that I have yet to experience at any other sporting event. When I put on the apparel of the Cubs, I feel like part of the family and part of the team. I am proud to wear the jerseys, T-shirts, and hats of the Cubs. When I am unable to attend a game, the commentators, both on the tv and on the radio, create a picture and experience the game as if I am actually
