High School Luis and his family had just moved from brooklyn park to lincoln heights on the last few days of july. He was nervous because he wouldn’t know anybody at the school in his freshman year but he was happy too because this was going to be his first year playing football and he was very excited because this would give him a chance to play the sport he loves and it would help him make some new friends before the school year starts, And at least he would know some people. His first couple of weeks of football practice he would come home tired and his feet hurting from practice, and when he would get home his mom would ask him how it went and he would say that it was fun but very tired. His mom knew that he was happy because he would always have a smile on his face whenever he got home. And once the summer ended and the first week of september ended school was right around the corner, he was still very nervous for school to start and he hoped that his first year of school would go good and that the other students will like him and will want to be friends with him. As Luis’s first year of high school goes by he likes the enjoyment of playing football, he plays for the jv team and they haven’t won a game sitting at 0-6, But that hasn’t stopped him …show more content…

When Luis, his brother and mom got to the school and talked to their counselor about their credits his counselor told him that he didn't have enough credits to graduate this school year he was gonna have to be a junior again and go to school an extra year in school, and his counselor Mr.Carter told Luis because he was 18 years old he could get kicked out of school if he was failing his classes, that's when it hit him that if he doesn't pass all his classes this year and the next he’s not gonna get his diploma and he's not gonna be able to get a good job a couple years down the road and work minimum
