It had been a long warm day at the park, me and my dad had been throwing the football around and I had been running around the playscape for hours. Both of us were exhausted after some time. It was getting late and it was time for us to head back to his house. As soon as I got into the car, my dad reminded me to buckle in my seatbelt, because I was a rebellious little 7 year old I thought “I don't need to put on my seatbelt, i'll be fine without one.”. I was around a lot of people who didn't put on their seatbelt at the time. So it seemed like the “cool” thing to do. I was young and influenced very easily. The park that me and my dad had gone to was pretty far from his house, so it took us awhile to get back. Throughout the ride my dad would notice the I wasn't wearing my seatbelt and he would have to repeatedly remind me to put it on. I would pretend to put it on, but I never actually put it on. We were about 3 minutes from his house when he once again noticed that I was not wearing my seat belt. What he did next made me always wear a seat belt out of habit even to this day.
