My summer was completely over. I love my grandma and everything, but she had just ruined what I had been looking forward to the ENTIRE year. Every summer I go to Mexico, to visit my father, Luis. We do something different every year. Whether it’s going to the beach or driving a tractor, I always have fun. This summer, my brother, Edel, my father, and I was supposed to stay up in some tremendous mountains, go hiking, swimming in some breath-taking waterfalls and go zip lining on one of the world's most enormous ziplines. I was super excited. On the other hand, Edel was not as eager as I was to potentially die. “We’re just about to eat,” my grandpa explained, “please sit down and join us.” “Okay,” I stated I don’t have anything against my grandpa’s wife, except for the fact that she literally has to put at least one pepper in everything she makes. I HATE spicy food. My family may be Mexican, but I can’t stand anything that makes my tongue burn. Nearly every time that my family’s friends make food of some sort, I usually leave starving for this reason. The point is that I ate spicy food to show respect to my grandfather’s wife, but threw a little less than half away when no one was looking. I was trying to be polite instead of saying no. After we ate, we drove to my grandpa’s farmhouse. On the way there, we stopped to see some relatives and family friends.We dropped off our luggage once we got there and went out to eat with a friend of my dad’s. We then ate some super savory hot dogs to end the night. We got to the farmhouse and admired the stars. It truly is a breathtaking sight. It’s almost as if you took a black canvas and painted delicate white dots, some tiny, some huge.
